EEK I just love this set of pictures and this wedding. It was totally back to front, a little bit bonkers, and involved some crazy taxi rides.
Lori and Ben had a super cool London wedding. Hey! you might say, the pictures are in the wrong order!!..Wrong! They had photography first and then an early evening ceremony in the Espero studios in Brick Lane.
Lori knew exactly what she wanted for her wedding. I only got the initial contact at the end of July so when she said October this year I thought...whaaat! I had left the weekend clear as I was hot of the plane from a Tuscan wedding, but when Lori explained what she was looking to do I couldn't say no. Plans and locations changed along the way, even up to the last few hours when we ran out of time and had to stray from the initial plan.
Generally I like to work to a plan, and have all this confirmed in a breakdown well before the wedding. Ultimately photographically I was on board with their vision and it was an adventure and at one point a magical mystery tour but exciting to be making it up as we went along.
Hamstead Heath is the backdrop for these gorgeous autumnal couple shots. I LOVE a brave bride and the oozing mud on the heath didn't divert Lori one bit...so very Rock and Roll!
Back in another taxi and arriving at the Espero studio's in Brick Lane Lori's friends and family dressed the studio while I sorted some lighting. Then hoards of friends and family arrived for what was a unique and beautiful ceremony.
They ended the day in The Haberdashery. A quirky Crouch End tea shop, where they enjoyed cocktails out of tea pots and a vegetarian feast!
Just take a look at all this awesomeness.....
"You beautiful, talented soul!!! Thank you." Lori & Ben
